All Eastern Home Inspection, serving the community since 1972, is a full-service home inspection company licensed and certified by the State of New Jersey to provide quality home and wood-destroying insect inspections as well as radon testing. Our company has inspected thousands of homes throughout New Jersey with an impeccable track record. We have successfully completed all the necessary courses and testing legislated by the State of New Jersey. In order to maintain our licenses we attend continuing education classes each year for home inspections, wood-destroying insect inspections and radon testing mandated by the State of New Jersey.
The Home Inspection
In general, a typical home inspection will take approximately 2 - 3 hours to complete. Our home inspector will perform a visual inspection, probe accessible areas and evaluate the current condition of the following:
~ Foundation and Structure~ Roofing · ~ Exterior ~ Fireplace and Chimney ~ Heating and Cooling ~ Insulation and Ventilation ~ Kitchens and Baths ~ Interior ~ Visual evidence of water penetration
Upon completion of the home inspection you will receive a comprehensive, detailed narrative report that will be distributed to you and your real estate attorney.
Wood Destroying Insect Inspections
The All Eastern inspector is also licensed to perform wood destroying insect inspections including termite, carpenter ants and bees, etc. A written HUD report, which is necessary when acquiring a mortgage, will be provided to you and your real estate attorney.
Radon is a colorless, odorless gas that is naturally present in our environment. Radon emanates from the ground into the home. If the radon level is higher than the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (NJ DEP) standards, inhaling it can increase your risk of developing lung cancer. However, high radon levels can be reduced to acceptable levels with proper mitigation. The NJ DEP recommends that every home be tested for radon.
The All Eastern inspector is a NJ certified radon technician who will place a charcoal canister in the home for 2 - 6 days. Once the canister has been retrieved, it is sent to an independent licensed laboratory for testing. The results are available within a few days with a written report which will be sent to you explaining the acceptable levels and any necessary action to be taken.
